It slowly cooks to allow the flavors to meld together perfectly creating a hearty meal that is both easy to prepare and satisfying. Ideal for busy days this recipe offers a delicious twist on classic pasta dishes with a smoky and slightly sweet taste that the whole family will enjoy

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
2 cups rotini pasta, uncooked
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot, then pour in the BBQ sauce and chicken broth. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Once the chicken is cooked, shred it inside the crockpot. Add the uncooked rotini pasta and continue cooking for 30 to 40 minutes, until the pasta is tender. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese before serving.

Notes

Cook pasta al dente to avoid mushiness
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking
Use low sodium sauce for better flavor control
Let it rest before serving for sauce to thicken
